Why I Travel

Aloha World Travelers!

Trinidad, Cuba

Life is way too short to sit at a desk and stare at a computer all day long waiting for the weekend to come. You’re in the right place if you share this idea – allow yourself to be infected by the travel bug!

What I  love about traveling so much?

Hanalei Bay, Kaua’i

Once you’ve started traveling, you can never get enough. People who love to travel know this feeling too well. It’s really hard to put this incredible feeling down in words. I’ve tried to list some of the things that I love most about traveling:

Unforgettable encounters with locals, going on spontaneous adventures, the endless sense of freedom, rainbows, scuba diving, climbing behind waterfalls, the sound of waves, the smell of summer rain, roaring summer storms, setting up my hammock at the craziest spots, watching shooting stars, bonfires on the beach, street food and deep midnight conversations with strangers who share the same opinion about life.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

I couldn’t have said it any better – this quotation expresses exactly what I feel: Make the most of your life, explore this amazing planet we live on and don’t wait until you’re 65. Who knows if you’ll still be able to do so.

Take your chances, dare to dream big and don’t let anybody tell you what you should or shouldn’t do. Discover as much as you can. Honestly: Do you want to look back on your life and ask yourself  “What if…?“. Do you want to regret the things you didn’t do and worry about all of the wasted opportunities and then ask yourself: “If only I had…?”.

Eibsee, Germany

You should only regret the chances that you didn’t take. Never miss a chance of living every moment of your precious life to the fullest. One day, I want to tell my grandchildren about my journeys and adventures – with a smile on my face and a sparkle in my eyes.

One day, I want to look back upon my life and proudly say to myself:

“WOW, I can’t believe I did ALL of that”!

I hope my blog inspires you to sail away from the safe harbor and explore this awesome world!

Feel free to follow my adventures on Instagram, Facebook or YouTube – I am happy about every single person I can inspire to travel!
